Well they've finally done it.
After a LOAD of delays the Cambridge Busway is officially open.

So now that we're second best, time to dig it up and replace it with a ... oh I dunno ... canal system.

Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

the Vancouver skytrain and Edmonton LRT is quite impressive. If Edmonton can have trains go underground through its downtown, why cant we. We are still a larger city I think. Canadians seem to put a greater priority on public transport than us, which is not what I was expecting.

How 'bout a bonafide, electrified six-car monorail?

I'm still waiting for the monorail connecting TTP, Pelican Plaza, the library and Modbury Triangle we were promised at the last state election.

It was actually the Liberal contesting the seat in Modbury. There was a short article about it in the Messenger, and I imagine there were some discreet phone calls made, because it wasn't mentioned again.

Well there isnt a seat of Modbury, it's either Newland or Florey. and that promised monorail (if it was real) is just more proof that the Liberals in this state are hopeless

Yeah, I couldn't remember the name of the seat, just that it covered Modbury. It was possibly Newland.

We're second
longest, not second best. Ours is still faster.
'Tis the Cambridge busway that should be replaced by a railway, as it could form a useful part of a cross country line.
Where's Pelican Plaza?

Replace it with rail connection. Currently it is an isolated system. Integration by rail with much needed new rail extensions, light or heavy, in the eastern suburbs needed.
