Who else thinks it would be a good idea to turn both Rundle Street and Hindley Street into malls, closing them to traffic, so they become like an extension of Rundle Mall?
Hindley St could be closed from King William Rd through to Morphett St.
Rundle St could be close the whole way, except for across Frome St, which would still be a thoroughfare for traffic.
I think it would be a good idea, but what do others think?

Think it would be a great idea - but what about the car parks with access from Rundle Street and Hindley Street?

Re: Rundle Mall extension
They did trial a closure of Hindley Street on Friday and Saturday nights, but that caused more fights and violence in the strip. However, the strip has changed since then, so it could be worth trying again?
Maybe even close the street from King William to Leigh Streets, given that they are not as busy at night as the rest of the strip.
