[U/C] Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Extension)
I couldn't find a thread for QEH developments.
IS this not the most shocking thing you have seen since 1950? WTF is this.

Green, white, grey, khaki, red...I assume whoever designed it is colour blind.
It's a good solution though for that spot, so long as there is public parking available.
Problem I see though, where is the entry and ambulance entry for the emergency department gone? The far end looks like it goes right up to the existing hospital building/wall.

Last week demolition started on this $314 million project.
This will see the construction of a new Emergency Department, intensive care unit and operating theatres which will begin later in the year.
A completion date of 2024 is expected.

Current shots of QEH upgrade project…apologies for the quality of photos due to being taken from inside South Ward…
[U/C] Re: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Extension)
I’ve not been back in Adl for a little while but does this include a revamp of the existing buildings because last I was there they were looked abandoned in parts
[U/C] Re: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Extension)
All existing buildings at the QEH are still functional…this development involves the construction of a much bigger new ED, new operating theatres, a new ICU plus many other things in the new building being built. The existing ED is very small and dated and in an awkward corner of the existing QEH complex.

Drove past and saw the tower is now up for the second crane.
Crane should be up shortly
