[COM] Re: #PRO: Oaklands Rail Underpass
Warradale Station is a joke, I catch the train to Noarlunga for work 3 or 4 times a week and I can never get over how close to Oaklands it is. And yes, the flyer was definitely saying it will be a rail overpass. The sooner the better I say, it took me about 20 minutes to drive home from Marion today...

[COM] Re: #PRO: Oaklands Rail Underpass
We received a flyer in the mail the other day about the Government's intention to build a rail overpass at Oaklands/Diagonal Rd. Mainly wanting to know the community's thoughts on the matter as well as informing us that there is a planning study underway to look at the best way to manage not only a ...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
Mr Demetriou last night confirmed more money was to be made by the Crows and Power at Adelaide Oval than at AAMI Stadium. I'm wondering how he knows that, especially in Port's case. I'm a Port member, by the way. As far as I have heard, the new stadium deals with both clubs will be much more fair. ...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
The original designs had each of the stands completely different to each other, now it looks like the western and eastern grandstands should be more or less identical. The new images definately look a lot nicer in terms of the design, with the southern stand having the same "pillow" style ...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
It doesn't sound like it will be anything to do with AO, while waiting for the press conference to start they were saying they think it will be with some form of bailout solution for Port Adelaide. UPDATE - The announcement is for a $5mil injection into PAFC and what he was saying is that the AFL is...

Re: New Retail in the CBD
the safety fence around Woolworths is now gone, and when I could see through they were starting to stock the shelves. Escalator seems in a weird position. The new retail tenancies on the mall have a little bit more to go. Dont know about you guys but Ive hated Woolworths in the city being closed. A...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Networ
Well they are located on the top of most light posts and they are definately the type of speakers you would be using if you were to have loudspeaker announcements at the station.monotonehell wrote:Could they be for the security intercoms?

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Networ
Another quick question about the upgrade of the Belair Line. I caught the train on that line today for the first time in a few weeks and I noticed on all the stations that speakers have been attached to the light poles (about 6-10 per station). Does this mean TA are planning on replacing the little ...

Re: Earthquake in Adelaide
When I felt it last night, my mind immediately jumped to the horrific quakes overseas recently. You never know for those first couple of seconds how bad it is going to get and so it's quite freaky at first. Luckily a few shakes was all we got.

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Networ
In America they found that trains that displayed "ditch lights" were involved in far fewer grade crossing accidents. So while it might look "Americanesque", it's probably worth doing from a safety point of view. I'm not saying I don't like them, actually quite the contrary. I th...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Networ
Yeah those are the ones. They were still flashing as the train pulled out of the station so it will be interesting to find out how long they flash for. They seem very American-esque and I've just never seen them before so I thought I'd ask what the deal was

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Networ
Just a quick question which I'll put in here since I can't think of a more appropriate place to put it. How long have the trains had flashing lights on the front of them when they stop at stations?? It's really only just starting to get dark enough for trains to use their lights now when I catch it ...

Re: #PRO: Port Adelaide Tram | #COM: Entertainment Centre Tr
Let me see if I understand this correctly: there was a woman who had to deal with two kids that were young enough to need a pram, and it took her a long time to get them all sorted out, so much so that the tram left the stop before they were ready. Did anyone help her out? Maybe hold the door open,...

[COM] Re: APP: Rundle Place (Harris Scarfe) | 102m 21lvl Office/Re
Levels 2, 3 & 4 of Harris Scarfe are now closed. There is only the basement, ground and level 1 open. I'm led to believe internal demolition works are starting on the upper levels. Looks like this isn't far off. Yep, that's correct, I went to use the toilets today at work and noticed we have be...
