[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
The updated detailed project map highlights so many flaws with this motorway design, I could write an essay. The southern tunnels literally start 2 blocks south of Daws Road. It would probably be cheaper to extend the open trench further north beyond Daws Road and provide diamond interchange access ...

What's the point of having planning regulations if they're just going to be blatantly disregarded. I'm very concerned about the free-for-all state of affairs at SAPC.

Rev, do you seriously not see the pattern with pub sites being bought out for development where it falls into limbo and a fire "mysteriously" breaks out rendering the heritage structure beyond repair and a new proposal lodged in place. This has happened only like 10 times now. It's clear a...

Terrible design. It should be rejected.

Re: SA Economy
Is this a joke? Cost and regulations? Planning and land use system? Planning transparency? Planning consistency? Ahahaha, what planet are these buffoons on!? Electricity prices are out of control. Housing and rent prices are out of control. Developers seem to be in charge of the planning system, not...

Re: Thebarton Brewery Site Redevelopment
Not like the rental / buying costs of these apartments will do anything to alleviate the housing crisis. They will be well above the average just purely because of location alone and it's proximity to CBD.

Looks like it will top out approx. where the grey square brace is near the top of the crane.

A quick look at various sources under the Google search "Victoria Tower adelaide height" often quotes it as 120m.
Thread title needs updating.

Re: Railway Under the City (new plan)
The point is, step out of the fantasy, and step into the reality. If this is something you want to seriously present to government, it has to be serious, not just some random lines in a map that looks like a university assignment. You're better off approaching it from a more rudimentary perspective ...

SAPC should reject this. I'd rather the site be empty for a couple more years until a better long term plan (or better yet, the original plan!) eventuates for this prime CBD site than allow it to go to waste for short term gain. Any "hotel" would be a three star at best, given the dilapida...

Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park is protected from development so that brown bit definitely won't be developed on. There's also some McLaren Vale Character Preservation planning overlays on a few farms down that way as well so it won't be as developed as you may expect it to be. Land releases down so...
