This type of design appears very 'gold coast' and 70's. (especially all the balconies) Very happy to see this render is the old proposal.

Is it possible that this project is related to the Freemasons apartment block? Looking on the map, they're almost on top of each other.

That's what I asked before (page1 of this thread).. looks like it's the old globe apartments.

Just judging by the renders I would suggest it is the resurrection of the Globe apartments but i could be wrong ;)

This is on public notification now and is to include a outdoor cafe.

Well, it might not be much but at least it looks better than the old proposal. I've added it to the map.

Nice height for the area, i don't mind this one at all. It's student accommodation, so the design is simple without being ugly. Hope this one goes ahead.

Btw, fixed images Ben.

I think it's a vast improvement on this:

I like it, while not a stunner, it's still a worthy addition to the area..

Just wondering, is Synagogue Place accessible from North Terrace? I seem to recall it being closed off for some reason??

Would be good to open the laneway up and maybe pave it or at least get some decent streetscaping to provide a nicer pedestrian link from North Terrace to Rundle Street..

Hope the council approves this one.
