This is more or less exactly what needed to happen.
That thin block on the corner absolutely had to be amalgamated into its neighbour. It was ridiculous.
That area needs a cluster of buildings to dampen the impact of the 2 towers there sticking out like dogs balls.
A tall tower, preferably 2, are required to block the sight lines of the free world to the gobshite Adelaidean tower.
I don't think a 'new tallest' was required in any of these instances, but something substantial There is just as much merit in something in the 100m range to taper down to the East End and not be so overbearing on Ayre House.
My only question here is the resident mix. The East End is a cultural precinct. It seems the only people that have been added to it is students and non permanent residents.
