Now at level 6, which might give us a sense of the speed of progress:

Floor jump system is being installed too, looking at the right side of your shot.

I dare say this will be a quick build.
What is a "Floor jump system" for those of us not in the construction industry?
The core is constructed ahead of the levels within a frame wall (also called floor jump panels). The frame wall is above the
central core. Within these panels/walls the concrete is poured. Once the concrete walls are poured the floor jump is raised.

Technically the correct term is a jump form, but it's also referred to sometimes as core boxes.

It's a scaffolding system used for the main core walls (which house elevators and building services, typically, and also provides the building with a significant amount of it's structural capacity), hung from the top of the currently constructed walls.

Here's what the inside of one looks like - this one is from a construction site in Brisbane I worked on a few years ago.

Thank you. I thought @Pikey indicated that he/she had also seen something different that related to the floors, not just the core.

That's correct, the orange structure that is being assembled to provide a safety screen for the forming/pouring of the floor levels, not the core.

Great pics Andy, the curves in the columns are already appearing clearly too.

I'm keen to see how this one progresses. I'm sure it'll be infinitely more interesting than Adelaidean next door.

Also better than any other student building in the neighbourhood.

Cheers

So would that suggest it happened today? I’m pretty sure it did, but have been away from the city for a week.
