All existing buildings at the QEH are still functional…this development involves the construction of a much bigger new ED, new operating theatres, a new ICU plus many other things in the new building being built. The existing ED is very small and dated and in an awkward corner of the existing QEH ...

Driving east along North Tce and the Switch is looking surprisingly inoffensive, if a little bit interesting, with the shadowing cast by the fins on the west face…I don’t hate it….

So given the new crane at 270 Pulteney St, should the crane total revert back to 8+3 = 11 cranes?

Walking the dogs at Glenelg today, noticed the site is now surrounded by construction fencing…does anyone know a status for this one? Is demolition imminent?

Is 135 South Tce/Parkland Vista actually supposed to be the 144 South Tce thread? I’m confused too

I might be in the minority but I do like the end result of this Sofitel structure, but it’s always been a design that somehow I felt I had seen before…and today I realised finally it reminds me of the UN building in NYC in some ways…this is a photo I took in 2009 when visiting:
